Fanore is situated on the Wild Atlantic Way which runs through the Northwestern region of the Burren. An area which now holds UNESCO Geopark status as it is noted for its outstanding botanical and ecological importance. The Burren has received recognition as a European Destination of Excellence for Sustainable Tourism and Gastronomy. A beautiful, peaceful but interesting place to explore on foot, bicycle or by car.
